FIFO health service on runway to south coast
Fly2 Health Group started offering its fly-in, fly-out service to residents in Hopetoun and Ravensthorpe earlier this year, benefiting local residents who often travel up to two hours to attend health appointments.
The two towns are located 1 hour and 20 minutes by plane from Perth’s CBD and speaking with Kalminer in February 2022, Fly2 Health Group managing director Kennedy Lay said there was a lot of demand for healthcare in the region.
“Hopetoun and Ravensthorpe really stood out because there are no services that go out there, which is really sad,” Lay said. “We know a lot of people commute to Esperance, which is two hours one way so we just want to bridge that gap with equal access. Equal access is the most important thing for us.”
