Rosebud

Originally a fishing village established in 1850 known as ‘Banksia Point’, Rosebud stole its name (and the contents) of a ship called ‘The Rosebud’ that washed up onto the sandy shores the 2nd of June 1855. The locals made off with all of the cargo and left the vessel stranded out on a sandbank.
